Hair-dressing and shaving of men (theme)
The part of the wall is devoted to an untypical funerary repast scene. Ankhtifi is represented seated on a lion-legged chair opposite to his wife and daughter who sit on a bench. The group is accompanied by several servants and musicians. Behind Ankhtifi, there is a male figure standing on the rear part of the tomb owner’s chair; a triangular object is situated in front of his feet. According to Vandier, the figure might represent a male coiffeur decorating Ankhtifi’s hair or wig with a head-band. The interpretation is, however, uncertain.
